Our Bedworth Schools Clothing Bank was started in 2019 and has been of huge benefit to the local community and schools in the Bedworth area. The heart is to see children go to school with a high level of self-esteem, pride and confidence by providing them with items of uniform when they/their families cannot afford it. We work on a referral system that agencies and schools can use to let us know what items are required. We then make use of high quality donated second hand items or order new stock where needed. We then deliver the packed uniform to the schools who distribute it to the students themselves. This ensures the students and their families anonymity and dignity.
We have provided items of uniform for over 200 individuals from a range of schools across Bedworth. We are immensely grateful for the amazing financial support from the Nicholas Chamberlaine School Foundation and Nene Warehouse Solutions who fitted out our storage containers free of charge. We are also incredibly thankful for the partnership we have built with Toye, Kenning and Spencer uniform suppliers.
