The Bedworth Schools Clothing Bank provides school uniform free of charge to families that need it most in the area through a referral system. We provide children and young people with new and pre loved items. We want every pupil to feel proud of their uniform and to feel like they belong. Sadly, there is a clear link between children living in low income families and attainment levels. Only 42% of disadvantaged pupils achieve the expected standard for reading, writing and maths compared to 68% of non disadvantaged pupils (2017 Study). Seeing our local communities having the highest percentages of low income families and out of work families saddens us and we are committed to working to see some of the effects of this change.
